Se realizó una revisión retrospectiva de las historias médicas de todas aquellas pacientes tratadas bajo los protocolos del Servicio de Patología Mamaria del Instituto de Oncología “Dr. Miguel Pérez Carreño” con diagnóstico de tumor maligno de glándula mamaria durante el período enero 2005-diciembre 2015. Se seleccionaron para la presente investigación todos aquellos casos con diagnóstico de carcinoma infiltrante de la mama con células en anillo de sello. El 1,82 % de las pacientes con tumores malignos de la mama tuvo reporte de células en anillo de sello. La histología en el 53 % de los casos fue del tipo lobulillar infiltrante. 66,66 % correspondió a los subtipos moleculares luminales. Hubo progresión de enfermedad durante el seguimiento en 33,33 % de los casos, uno de ellos a tracto genital y serosa peritoneal. A retrospective review of the medical records of all the patients treated under those protocols breast pathology service in the Institute of Oncology “Dr. Miguel Perez Carreno” diagnosed with malignant tumor of the mammary gland during the period from January 2005 to December 2015. It was conducted and they were selected for this investigation all the cases diagnosed with the invasive carcinoma of the breast with signet ring cells. The 1.82 % of the patients with malignant breast tumors had reported how signet ring cells. The histology in the 53 % of cases of invasive infiltrative lobular was the 66.66 % corresponded to the luminal molecular subtypes. There was progression of the disease during the continue evaluation in 33.33 % of cases, one of them in the genital tract and the peritoneal serosa. We review the literature the histogenesis of these tumors and the differential immunohistochemically profile.
